Here are Essay questions that have appeared on the Exam in the past. The corresponding Standards for each question topic are also provided. These documents are in both WordPerfect 5.x and Microsoft Word format. Please see the instructions following the table on how to configure your web browser to view these documents. If you are a Windows 95 user and don't have a compatible word processing program, click here.

You may also download all of the Questions and Standards as a single zip file for WordPerfect or MsWord. You can unzip them using Winzip or pkunzip. If you use pkunzip, be sure and use the -d option.

How to configure you web browser to view these documents

  1. Click on either "WordPerfect" or "MsWord" depending on which word processing you have on your computer.
  2. If your web browser doesn't recognize the file type, it will open a dialog box prompting you to either save the file or open it using another program. Choose the open program option
  3. Now choose your word processing program's icon from the list and click "ok".
This should open the file using your word processing program and in the future you should only have to click "WordPerfect" or "MsWord" and your browser will automatically open in using the appropriate program.

You always have the option of saving the file to your hard drive and then opening it with your word processing program if you find this to be easier.
